We work with individuals, groups, and organizations to create longstanding, meaningful change.

  • We work with individuals on a set of goals. We’ll co-design your individual coaching journey.

Generally we work with clients for a minimum of four months, and we’ve worked with some clients for years.

  • We develop and deliver bespoke group coaching programs focused specifically on leadership themes for changemakers. These programs vary in length and duration, and can range from a focused 90-minute session to a program spanning several months. They include a knowledge-sharing component as well as space and support for introspection and reflection.

Recent example themes include: Energy management, building confidence, communication as a changemaker, and managing polarities while driving change.

  • We apply a coach-like approach to help organizations achieve their goals. We work with impact-focused organizations including non-profits, private corporates, NGOs, and scaling start-ups, applying our coaching methodology to their challenges.

For example, just as we might help individuals define their values and purpose, and then make conscious, resonant choices in line with these insights, we do the same for organizations (drawing on our decades of experience in management consulting and the corporate world). Some might call this work “coach-sulting!”

“I now have a clear vision of the kind of leader I want to be: someone who values silent impact, listens actively, and walks alongside others rather than ahead of them.”

— Impact entrepreneur, architect, One Young World Ambassador, grandson, son, brother

We believe having a holistic perspective and connecting the tangible (e.g. impact) and intangible (e.g. joy) aspects of things yields longstanding, meaningful change.

Whether we’re coaching individuals, groups, or organizations, our work often follows a similar process:

Create a base level of foundational knowledge

About the science of being a human being

  • We share concepts from areas such as neuroscience, emotional literacy, somatic and creative practices, and Positive Intelligence, drawing connections to behaviors such as language choices

  • We see how small shifts based on an understanding of these simple concepts can have a significant impact

About your full self

  • Who you are, what’s important to you, and what you want

About the full context around you

  • What’s important to others and what they want

  • Where you and others are and what you’re experiencing

Make sense of this information

Discovering connections in order to open up your fullest capacity

Gaining a new perspective about what is actually available to you

Apply these insights, integrating this into active doing

What you can do to show up as the fullest version of yourself (many refer to this as leadership presence) in service to your goals

How you can communicate effectively to influence others

Creating an active choice about leveraging everything available to you to get what you and those around you need

Develop the skills to continue this work and further share it

Our goal is that you can apply your insights on an ongoing basis — and maybe even help others do the same — even after our work together has concluded

“We are transformed! It’s inspiring to see that we really can change even the toughest of situations.”

— Leadership team of a scaling organization

 FAQs

  • We see our role as being a guide and mirror while our coachees are committed to doing the work.

We begin with a chemistry discussion where we get to know you and explain how we can support you. We partner with you to understand your goals and immediate context. If we both feel the conditions for success are available to us, together we explore the best entry point to begin your work. Together, we set an agreement for the goal of the broader engagement. We also agree on the frequency and duration of our sessions.

Each session is in service to your goal for the engagement. We follow a general approach of gathering knowledge, sense-making, applying the insights and translating them into action, and developing your skills so that you can continue the work on your own.

However, because each of us is an individual, the sessions are specifically tailored to the individual person or organization. Often we work through challenges you’re facing in the moment. You can bring a challenge to the session, and we help you gain new insights and connect them to the broader goal.

In between sessions, it is often helpful to actively practice and apply what we’ve discussed. We will offer ways in which you can do that, keeping in mind your context. You choose which offers to accept.

  • In our experience, you’re ready for coaching if you’re open, ready, and willing to put the work in.

You’re ready to open up and share honestly, with yourself and your coach (recognizing that it takes time to build trust). You’re open and willing to reflect and learn about yourself. You have an open mind about new perspectives and approaches you might take, and you’re comfortable with being challenged. And you’re ready to put the work in. For us, coaching isn’t only about knowing; it’s also about doing. If you embark on a coaching journey, it’s important to be willing to take new steps to make the change you’re seeking.

We work with changemakers who are often incredibly busy, driven, and ambitious. We often find that busy times can be the best times to be coached. While we expect our coachees to put the time and work in once committing to coaching, we also co-design it to have it directly serve what’s happening in their lives (rather than simply adding something else on top!).

  • We live in the United States and Switzerland. And we work globally.

We’re very comfortable working virtually by video call or even phone call where appropriate. We also enjoy meeting in person when we can.

  • We never share individual or group names or experiences unless they’re specifically open to this. Confidentiality is paramount. Yet when our clients are open to it, we love when we can connect people with each other!

We know this work for ourselves and systematic change isn’t always easy, and it can be lonely at the top. More and more people are experiencing “_ful” lives and we see great value in building a community that allows us all to stay in our own and collective work.

If you’re interested in being part of a larger community, let us know.

  • FUL was born out of our strong belief that being joyful and impactful goes hand in hand. Individual joy and collective impact are both worthy goals – and they build on each other. “FUL” is the connecting thread between these two words.

We believe having a holistic perspective and connecting the tangible (e.g. impact) and intangible (e.g. joy) aspects of things yields longstanding, meaningful change.

At the same time, we believe choice is absolutely critical, and know that our “_fuls” might not be the same as yours. We want to create space for whatever makes a full life for you, whether that’s one that is meaningful and purposeful or colorful and plentiful (and the possibilities don’t stop there).

Our goal is to help you understand which “_fuls” you yearn for and how you can bring your full self and context to the table to make them come to life.
